Restoring Buffalo’s Historic Parkways

Who we are

East Side Parkways Coalition is committed to creating a broad base of support for the removal of highway infrastructure and the restoration of parks, parkways, and parkland to improve the health of communities, with an intensified focus on the East Side of Buffalo including the restoration, to the greatest extent possible, of Olmsted’s Park and Parkway System.

Why One Parkway Now?

With a billion dollars in hand, Buffalo can go from worst to first in the national highway removal movement. Buffalo has the first ever City-wide Park and Parkway System in the history of the United States, and in order to restore it, we need Complete Highway Removal of the 33.

Lawsuits

East Side Parkways Coalition has filed several lawsuits in pursuit of achieving the vision of full parkway restoration.
